Trend of rising support payments continues also in the first quarter of 2015, as it amounts to almost 35,6 mio EUR. At the end of March the Slovenian feed-in support system included 3837 power plants with a combined installed capacity of 420 MWe. The total electricity production within the support system increased by 4 % compared to the same period in 2014 and was 273 GWh. The Slovenian electricity feed-in support scheme for RES (renewable energy source) and CHP (high-efficiency cogeneration) power plants in 2014 included 3767 power plants with a combined installed capacity of 516 MWe. Among the 348 there were 205 new entrants, with a combined installed capacity of 23.942 kWe. The structure by type is as follows: 98 were solar PV plants (8.907 kWe), 87 fossil-fuel high-efficiency CHP (8.835 kW). Detailed overwiev is available here.

Total number of concluded transactions in January 2015 reached 260 in total volume of 18.602,5 MWh which represents the highest monthly volume from the establishment of the Balancing Market. Of these, 16.477,5 MWh represented the purchase of balancing energy and 2.125 MWh represented the sale of balancing energy intended for the settlement of imbalances in the electricity system. The highest volume of transactions was concluded with block products in the total amount of 11.410 MWh.

As of 10th February 2015 new trading schedule on the Slovenian Balancing market will come to force. The deadline to enter bids and offers on the balancing market for the following day will be moved from 11:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. This change is in relation to the IBWT market coupling project, BSP power exchange will on trading day February 10th 2015 change its gate closure time to 12:00.
