Sell of Electricity from ECO Group

Centre for RES/CHP support manages electricity that is produced in RES/CHP units which receive support in form of guaranteed purchase (FiT). For this purpose a separate balance group was formed, the ECO group.

In accordance with Article 26 of the Rules for the operation of the Centre for RES/CHP support (Official Gazzette RS no. 86/09 and 17/14 – EZ-1; hereinafter: Rules) Borzen may sell the electricity from the EKO Group directly on the market or indirectly by transferring the whole EKO group to another Balance Scheme Member’s balancing group or subgroup.

Starting from 2016 the electricity produced within the Eco group is being sold indirectly by the transfer of the whole EKO group to another Balance Scheme Member’s balancing group or subgroup.

Auction for the Transfer of the ECO Group for 2017

On 29.11.2016, Borzen in its capacity as the Centre for RES/CHP Support in accordance with the Article 28 of the Rules on the operation of Centre for RES/CHP Support (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos. 86/2009 and 17/2014 EZ-1) and the Rules for the Transfer of the ECO Group – Centre for RES/CHP Support for 2017 (unofficial translation) carried out the Auction for the transfer of the Eco Group for 2017. The subject of the Auction was the entire Eco group i.e all the electricity generated in the ECO Group in 2017. There were 5 participants at the Auction, of which 4 from Slovenia and 1 from abroad. The auction was conducted through the online auction system ADA-TS. The final results are available in the following document.
